The North Mason Medical Clinic in Belfair is a full-service medical clinic offering experienced and compassionate care for all ages - from infants to grandparents. The clinic provides a total package of health care with both primary and specialty care services, backed by the expert resources of Mason General Hospital in Shelton, only 25 minutes away. The North Mason Medical Clinic is staffed by Pen Hou, M.D., Terry Mallory, ARNP, and Robin Garcia, C-PA. They are here to help you get well ... and stay well.

Larry Lyon, MD, is a board-certified family practice doctor. Dr. Lyon's focus is on prevention. He has often been heard to say, "A pound of cure is worth a lot these days!" Dr. Lyon works in partnership with his patients to help them get to and maintain a state of good health. He emphasizes healthy habits and shares that his practice philosophy is "whatever works, because it's not about me, it's about my patients." Dr. Lyon sees people one at a time, and says that he "treats everyone no differently than I would have myself treated."

Dr. Brian Petersen has served the North Mason community for over 13 years and is a Belfair native. He utilizes a variety of chiropractic techniques to better serve each patient’s needs. His practice continues to grow, and Dr. Petersen treats patients from all around the Puget Sound region.

Dr. Sarah Zech recently joined the practice in June of 2005. She also has been a lifelong resident of Belfair and is excited to return to serve her community. Dr. Zech is a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West and has attained a specialty certification in pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Jocelynn Pollard, LMP is the fabulous massage therapist on the Petersen Chiropractic staff. Jocelynn utilizes a myriad of different techniques including Swedish, deep tissue and neuromuscular therapy. She enjoys working on every patient, from the expectant mother to the injured athlete, and also those patients who are simply seeking tremendous relaxation.

Petersen Chiropractic is located next to QFC in Belfair. The office is open Monday through Saturday and walk-ins are welcome. Petersen Chiropractic is the only health care facility in North Mason that offers 24-hour emergency chiropractic care.

Carl Ehresman is a doctor of chiropractic. His main technique of adjusting is called Torque Release. With this technique Dr. Ehresman is able to adjust patients by hand or with the integrator. Ehresman Family Chiropractic also provides x-rays and EMG scans for patients if needed.

At Ehresman Family Chiropractic, patients can purchase and seek advice on nutritional supplements, and soon, the office will offer nutritional therapy. There is also a licensed massage therapist on site.

Dr. Jack Roberts has owned and operated Belfair Chiropractic Center since 1984, when he graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Roberts also has a bachelor's degree in Education.

In November 2004, David Trueblood joined the staff of Belfair Chiropractic and their chiropractic family. He graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in 2003. Dr. David recently completed post-graduate study in extremity adjusting and is one of only 750 certified extremity adjusters in the world. Dr. David currently serves as the chiropractor for the Olympic Peninsula Rugby Football Club.

Belfair Chiropractic offers complete family wellness chiropractic care. Dr. Roberts and his staff emphasize the importance of treating the whole person from the inside out. Full chiropractic services with emergency care are always available.

Additional services offered at Belfair Chiropractic include nutritional counseling, injury rehabilitation, exercise therapy, custom fit orthotics and extremity adjustments (a specialty). Dr. Roberts and his staff are committed to improving their patients' quality of life and their strength and endurance, so that they can experience increased vitality and overall human potential.

Also on staff is a licensed massage therapist. Shontel Sutton-Heim offers relaxation, deep tissue, Reiki, and injury treatment massage. She is a provider for L&I, KPS and most automobile insurances. Massage therapy is available Monday through Friday by appointment only at Belfair Chiropractic Center.

Owned and operated by Valerie McLeod, PT, Belfair Physical Therapy is a Medicare-certified rehabilitation agency that accepts most insurance. Valerie has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1978, the Washington State Physical Therapy Association (WSPTA) since 1979, and has practiced physical therapy at her office in Belfair since 1982.

Professional, knowledgeable and personalized physical therapy is available right here in Belfair! Mark Dutton, PT, opened Kitsap Physical Therapy & Sports Clinics in 1999. Since then, the practice has grown and serves a wide client base throughout Mason and Kitsap Counties. A certified hand therapist is on staff for all upper extremity needs. The clinic features state-of-the-art equipment to provide for the many different realms of physical therapy.

At Kitsap Physical Therapy, Mark and his staff treat spine-related (chronic or acute) and work-related injuries, overuse, pre- and post-surgical, sports-related injuries or those due to trauma such as motor vehicle or other accidents.

Specialty programs at Kitsap Physical Therapy in Belfair include Certified Hand Therapy for treatment of all post-operative hand and elbow injuries, repetitive use syndromes and custom splinting. ASTYMTM soft tissue mobilization is a new technique that aims at mobilizing the fibrotic tissue associated with stubborn overuse/tendonitis injuries.

The clinic also employs an ImpulseTM trainer, a new piece of equipment that is highly effective in shoulder rehabilitation. This equipment is quickly becoming a standard unit in professional sports training rooms. Another new item is a cold ultraviolet laser used in the treatment of peripheral neuropathies including diabetic neuropathy (this is a more efficient version of the popular Anodyne UV treatment).
